Master mix delivers progressive concert Blu-ray experience with 5.1 surround sound
San Francisco, November 14, 2011-Dolby Laboratories, Inc. (NYSE: DLB) announced today that the November 21, 2011, Blu-ray Disc™ release of the critically acclaimed, Emmy® award-winning HBO special Lady Gaga Presents the Monster Ball Tour: At Madison Square Garden has been mastered in 5.1 surround sound using Dolby® TrueHD.
Dolby TrueHD is a lossless multichannel audio technology developed for high-definition entertainment. It ensures that Lady Gaga fans will be able to enjoy the full concert experience, bit-for-bit identical to the original studio master, in 5.1 surround sound from the comfort of their home theaters.

Brian Riordan, Emmy award-winning sound rerecording mixer and founder of Levels Audio, uniquely orchestrated the master 5.1 mix by leveraging the abundant audience microphones placed around Madison Square Garden during the concert to bring an immersing surround sound atmosphere to the Blu-ray Disc. Taking a progressive approach to concert videos, the Blu-ray mix breaks away from traditional use of surrounds by seemingly placing instruments around the viewer to deliver a truly unique 5.1 experience enhanced by the Dolby TrueHD soundtrack.
